An endless runner where you play as Yùtù (aka the Jade Rabbit) and must make use of a unique mechanic: flipping the horizon, or swapping heaven and earth (the void and the ground). Carrots are worth bonus points, and magical pearls will grant you temporary powerups.
There are also 5 hidden easter eggs which can each be found by typing a specific codeword during gameplay. As a hint, the initial letter, length, and last letter of each easter egg codeword is given below:
- G _ _ _ T
- M _ _ _ _ R
- M _ _ _ _ _ _ K
- C _ _ _ _ T
- V _ _ _ _ _ _ Y
This project was developed for the Pizza Jam and the 2nd 1-BIT JAM, which were both running simultaneously. Our chosen theme for the Pizza Jam was: The Zodiac (2023 is the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac), while the theme for the 1-Bit Jam was: you start with everything and end with nothing. The game ended up ranking 5th overall in the Pizza Jam.
CONTROLS
